The Coast is Clear:
Sea & Sun Destinations
Israel boasts coastline on four bodies of water - each with their own personality. The sparkling, salty water of the Mediterranean Sea is ideal for surfing lessons at dawn. If sleeping in is on the agenda, spend the afternoon in the hustle of the Tel Aviv beach scene, learning how to play matkot - the unoffical national sport...or in near-solitude at the Habonim secret beach cove.
Wherever you spend your day, make sure you’re gazing west at dusk, as the orange sun melts into the sea, and you will find yourself glowing well into the evening.
In Israel's south, snorkel in the fresh water of the famous Red Sea. In the north, take in the beauty of the Kinneret from a lakeside fish restaurant or evening boat tour, and bathe in the biblical waters of the Jordan River. In the center of the country, float in the briney Dead Sea - taking breaks to slather on the mineral-rich mud that dots its shores.
